Styler - Client-First naming and design-system tools for Webflow
Styler is a Webflow Designer Extension built to help teams clean up page structure, class naming, Navigator labels, component names, and design-system Variables without turning the process into a manual audit.
Scan → Build plan → Review → Apply
What Styler does
Styler helps turn inconsistent Webflow projects into cleaner, more maintainable systems.
- Scan the current Webflow page and inspect its structure.
- Create semantic Client-First naming suggestions.
- Organize class names and Navigator labels.
- Normalize component naming when the component is part of the reviewed plan.
- Preserve existing styling while replacing class structures.
- Build and apply design-system Variable structures.
- Save completed plans so they can be restored without another paid AI request.
- Provide undo support for naming changes.
- Keep protected form and credential-related fields out of analysis and Apply.
Who Styler is for
Styler is useful for Webflow developers inheriting inconsistent projects, designers who want a cleaner Navigator, teams moving toward Client-First conventions, freelancers preparing projects for handoff, and agencies maintaining larger Webflow builds.
The Styler workflow
1. Scan the current page
Styler reads the current Webflow page and builds a structural view of supported elements, classes, styles, hierarchy, and component contexts. Protected form-input and authentication-related fields are excluded from analysis.
2. Build a plan
Styler creates a semantic naming plan based on the scanned page. The plan can include Client-First class names, Navigator labels, component naming, class-stack migration, and page-structure naming.
AI-assisted naming is used for the naming-analysis workflow. Variable tooling is handled through a separate design-system flow.
3. Review before Apply
Nothing is silently renamed during analysis. You can review the proposed plan before making changes to the Webflow project.
4. Apply
When you approve the plan, Styler applies the reviewed changes through Webflow Designer APIs and re-checks page context to reduce the risk of applying a stale plan in the wrong location.
5. Restore or undo
Saved plans can be restored later, and naming changes support undo where Webflow confirms that affected elements have not changed since Apply.
Client-First naming
Styler helps convert unclear or inconsistent naming into semantic names based on the role of the element inside the page. The goal is to make the project easier to understand, maintain, and hand off.
Navigator labels
Not every element needs a CSS class. Styler can improve Navigator labels independently so unstyled structural elements remain understandable without adding unnecessary classes.
Components
Styler can normalize component names when those components are included in the scanned and reviewed plan. Component naming is scoped to the reviewed workflow rather than silently changing unrelated components elsewhere in the site.
Variables and design systems
Styler includes a separate design-system workflow for Webflow Variables. It can inspect existing values, build structured proposals, organize color, typography and spacing systems, reuse compatible Variables, and apply supported Variable bindings.
Saved plans
Completed analyses can be saved locally and restored later, including when you want to avoid repeating a paid AI request.
Safety by design
Styler is built around reviewable changes rather than silent automation: Review before Apply, page/site context validation, protected credential-field exclusion, server-side authentication, short-lived sessions, scoped component updates, and rollback/undo support where possible.
AI and data
Styler uses AI for semantic page-naming analysis. Limited page context such as structural metadata, element text, display names, and class information may be sent through Styler's backend to OpenAI to generate naming suggestions. Protected form-input or credential fields are excluded from this analysis.
